The 92nd CMEF Kicks Off: Yulin Company Attends for Observation and Learning, Setting Sights on New Directions in Medical Technology

On September 26, the 92nd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) officially opened at the Canton Fair Complex. As the world’s “bellwether” event for the medical industry making its first debut in Guangzhou, this exhibition covers an area of 160,000 square meters, gathering over 3,000 global enterprises and tens of thousands of innovative products. It has attracted delegations from more than 10 countries and over 120,000 professional visitors. Yulin Company formed a special observation team to attend the exhibition for learning, exploring new development paths amid cutting-edge technologies and industrial ecology.

The Exhibition as a Platform: A Comprehensive Display of Global Medical Technology
With the theme “Health, Innovation, Sharing – Jointly Blueprinting the Future of Global Healthcare”, this year’s CMEF features 28 themed exhibition areas and more than 60 professional forums, building an exchange platform driven by both “exhibition” and “academia”. Ranging from high-end equipment such as dynamic dose-adjusted CT scanners and full orthopedic surgical assistant robots to intelligent systems like AI-aided diagnosis platforms and remote ultrasound solutions, the exhibition presents a comprehensive industrial ecology of the medical sector from R&D to application. Buyers from over 130 countries and regions have registered to attend, with a 40% year-on-year increase in buyers from “Belt and Road” countries.
“This is an excellent window for close engagement with international frontiers,” said the person in charge of Yulin Company’s observation team. The industrial ecology built by more than 6,500 biopharmaceutical enterprises in the Greater Bay Area, combined with the global resources brought by the exhibition, creates a synergistic effect and provides rich scenarios for learning from industry benchmarks.
Yulin’s Learning Journey: Focusing on Three Core Directions
Yulin’s observation team conducted systematic learning around three core dimensions – technological innovation, scenario application, and industrial cooperation – and paid key visits to several featured exhibition areas:
  • AI Medical Technology Sector: In the intelligent diagnosis area, the team conducted in-depth research on the algorithm logic and clinical verification paths of a number of high-end AI pathological analysis systems. They carefully documented technological breakthroughs in fields such as multi-lesion recognition and cross-modal data fusion, while comparing the room for optimization in their own products.
  • Primary Healthcare Solutions Zone: Regarding the lightweight design and functional integration of portable medical equipment, the team focused on inspecting industry-leading handheld ultrasound devices and mobile testing equipment. They also collected feedback from primary medical institutions on equipment battery life and operational convenience.
  • International Exhibition Area and Academic Forums: At the booths of international delegations from Germany, Singapore, and other countries, the team learned about compliance standards and certification processes for overseas medical equipment. They also attended the “Practical Application of AI in Healthcare” forum, recording more than 50 sets of industry cases and technical parameters.

In addition, the observation team conducted research on the user experience design of smart wearable devices at the “International Healthy Lifestyle Exhibition”, gathering inspiration for optimizing their own health monitoring products.
Exchange Achievements: Clarifying Upgrade Paths and Cooperation Possibilities
During the exhibition, Yulin’s observation team reached preliminary communication intentions with 12 domestic and foreign enterprises, covering fields such as AI algorithm R&D and medical equipment manufacturing. In discussions with local Grade A tertiary hospitals in Guangzhou, the team gained a deep understanding of the actual clinical needs for intelligent diagnosis equipment and clarified the core principle that “technological iteration must align with diagnosis and treatment scenarios”.
“The localization breakthroughs and international layout of participating enterprises have given us a lot of inspiration,” the person in charge revealed. The team has compiled more than 30,000 words of study notes. In the follow-up, combining insights from the exhibition, they will focus on advancing the algorithm upgrade of existing pathological analysis systems and the functional optimization of primary medical equipment, with plans to introduce the lightweight design concepts observed at the exhibition.
The 92nd CMEF will run until September 29. Yulin Company’s observation team stated that they will fully participate in subsequent forums and docking activities to further absorb advanced industry experience and inject new impetus into the company’s technological innovation and market expansion.
